I own a 12 year old L7 Landice that has limited use. Condition is excellent. However, it exhibits intermitten belt actuation upon statrt-up. Specifically when the start button is activated it will initiate the motor, the belt will move for about 5 seconds and than shut down, signaling an error. After repeating this sequence for 20 actuations the belt will stay engaged, and the unit will perform normally. I do not have any control schematic or information to trouble shoot this malfunction. Since the problem exists at start-up I assume it is in the control logic and most likely a bad board or contact. can anyone provide me with a potentail solution.

Landice treadmill we have had a landice pro sport trainer treadmill for several years. today after running for 20 min. the safey screen appeared and the tread mill stropped moving. the magnet is on the machine as normal. however, even after turning the machine off and unplugging for several minutes the treadmill is stuck in the safety mode and will not operate.

You may want to take off you head board and check all the connection. this is not hard to do. Also when you in there check you cable connection. can you do this?

TURN ON A CODE L5 LIGHTS UP - Landice L7 LTd Pro Sports Trainer Treadmill

L5 is really LS (Lose signal ) this occurs when the speed sensor is not functioning or no belt movement. Unplug unit remove motor shroud then plug unit back in, now stand on foot panels you will notice LED lights coming from the Motor Control Board, press start at this time you will manually with you foot start pushing the belt. What this will show you that if the speed sensor is working properly one of the lights will start flickering and the upper panel will register this pulse signal and the time should work. If you get a LS again then the speed sensor is defective and needs to be replaced, this sensor is located on top of the drive motor with 2 bolts attaching it to the motor body. Now if the sensor is functioning their is 2 other possibilities 1) Worn motor brushes 2) Motor Control Board Has Failed.Unplug Unit. The easiest to test out of the 2 is the motor, by using a 18v fully charged drill battery disconnect the lead from the motor going to the motor control board attach the leads to the battery and the motor should start to rotate if not replace worn brushes. If the motor rotates then you may have a defective motor control board. To test this portion you will need a multi-meter place leads where you disconnected the motor leads put meter range @ 20v DC plug in unit and start the unit, when you hear the click you should see about 5v DC = .5 MPH and their should be another LED light flickering as soon as you hit the start key this is the PWM signal which is generated from the upper board and travels thru the terminal harness. This tells you that both board and harness is working properly. My suggestion is that it is either the sensor or the brushes these are the 2 that commonly fail.

I have just purchased a Landice P 7 Pro Trainer and notice that a light is constantly on in the front part of the machine where the motor is located. Is this normal? Also, I am having difficulty inputting weight and grade before I start the various programs. The accompanying manual is for the birds in its explanation. thanks, Mark

If no error number as "L5" should work well, with respect to the LED light is normal if you have more questions please send me a E-mail to [email protected] I have the technical manuals, I will be going up soon

Landice L7 gives me a L5 reading on the screen

Your L7 error looks like L5 , but its really LS which mean lost signal. Unplug unit take motor shroud off then plug unit back in wall outlet. When looking in front unit you will see a Motor control board and there are LED lit up one of them should be an amber light this is you speed sensor which is attached to the top of your motor. Manually rotate the fly wheel and see if that light flickers if it does then your speed sensor is working properly if not replace speed sensor. The next thing to look at is the motor brushes to if they are worn unplug unit you should see slitted caps on both side of motor remove them if they are less than 3/8" they need replacing. That for the most parts should take of your problem. Call Landice @ 1800-526-3423 have the serial# handy their on all the components in the unit
