Proform 570 blowing fuse

There are generally two control boards, I am assuming you looked at the lower one. I would first disconnect the power leads at the board and see if it still blows the circuit breaker (fuse?). If it does the check wiring for short. If OK then reconnect power leads and then disconnect all other wires (plug-ins) to the board and try again, each time plug a connection in and retry. (remember to disconnect power each time). I have a feeling the smoke got let out of this lower board and may need replacement. hope this helps www.twincityrepair.com

1) Lube the deck belt use 100% silicones or wax, read your instruction manual 2) Lube the rollers bearing use wd-40 3) Replace fuse and see if is o.k now4) If the problem persist you must test the tension for drive belt motor, and adjust it according.5) Test the input voltage motor, see my personal TIPS for motor help and troubleshooting.6) Use the treadmills directing from the source DO NOT USE any extension power cord!7) Test again if the problem persist, now you have power supply or control board faulty. see the block diagram.attached.God bless you

Horizon Elite 5.3 treadmill blows JP2 fuse. Incline does not work, all other functions work even with fuse blown. Does not blow if I disconnect incline motor.

Great work! Another great point for treadmill servicers! Please be aware....inside a treadmill lift motor, there is a small potentiometer or pot, that watches the "throw" or position of the lift screw, which relates to the treadmill incline. These lift motors have a sheath or "nut" on the screw that MUST be set properly at the ZERO degree mark of the deck, for proper operation from zero elevation to 12% or whatever it's uppermost incline is. This must be assembled correctly, or like in this case, that motor begins to "pinch" at one end of it's "throw" and the current will rise in the winding and blow a fuse, saving the lift from burning up. Nice job troubleshooting Thad!

Pro form 450 cx keeps blowing fuse in plug top

Measure on the hot DC lead (usually red) going from the controller to the drive motor. If you have a simple multi-meter with a DC amp test setting the best way to test is to put the meter inline on the red motor lead with alligator clips. If you have a more expensive clamp meter, clamp the meter around the red motor wire. Run the machine at 2.5 MPH without a person on the belt. If the motor and drive system are healthy, you should have a reading in the 2-3 amp range. Then walk on the treadmill at the same speed. With a person of average size (around 200 lbs.) you should have a reading in the 6-8 amp range if the belt is good. The readings will fluctuate more with a load but you are looking for an average reading but you shouldn't see spikes above 10 amps. If the amp readings are high without a load, you could have a problem with high resistance in the motor, a bad bearing, or over-tightened belts. Regular readings without a load but high readings with a load indicate a worn belt and/or deck.
