Proform 860QT treadmill give jerks while running

I have the Proform 860Qt treadmill for the last 6yrs and it was running fine till recently it started giving jerks while running at speed of 4 or above. I tried to do the adjustments of the belt by rotating the left and right side screws so the belt is loose as instructed in the manual by 3-4 inches. It works fine when no stands on the belt but as soon as someone stands it start giving jerks and changing the speed autonmatically say from 4 to 3.2 and then 4.8 to 5 and back to 3 etc although it is set to run at 4 manully. Please let me know what can be the issue. I looked the manual and did th

Treadmill powers up begins to turn belt then shuts down

Did the shop only do a continuity check or a real load test with amp check also? Motors can look good and run with no load but fail under load.

I have a proform xp 620 treadmill. It started smelling like it was overheating. Today after two miles it just stopped running. What to do?

If you can walk on your treadmill but you get a burning smell from it, you have a bad problem and discontinue use immediately and unplug the treadmill. Burning smells are most commonly associated with the following problems: 1) Very high belt/deck friction. 2) Short in the motor. 3) Short in the wiring or electronics. 4) Literally cooking the lacquer or cardboard core (on cheap machines) in the motor from belt friction or a drive system obstruction. Friction is the #1 cause of this problem. Many cheaper treadmills have a motor with a cardboard core (people wonder why we are so down on cheap treadmills) and if the voltage and amperage through the motor heats it up sufficiently, it begins to smolder. If this is the case, you normally have to replace the belt and the motor and inspect the deck. If the armature has cooked enough in the motor, you also have to replace the motor. If the belt and deck check out OK, check for a short in the motor. You can run the motor with an independent power source like a fullycharged cordless drill battery to see if the symptoms are the same. Click on the following link for our motor test. If the belt and deck check out and the motor is OK, then check your wiring and electronics for signs of scorching and replace the appropriate part(s).

My proform incline won't recline - Proform XP Weight Loss 620 Treadmill

Dear Sir: I will try to help you. Please see the video with patience and carefully. you nee basic tools+Dvom The SCR lower board is designed with diagnostic LED lights. The LED's are color coded according to their specific function. Green indicates a properly operating treadmill; the green lights should always be ON when power is supplied to the treadmill. Yellow indicates a treadmill function. Red indicates a treadmill malfunction. Here is a list of each LED and what it signifies: MOTOR (yellow) - The MOTOR LED illuminates when dc (direct current) voltage is sent to the drive motor. The LED gets brighter when the dc output is increased. RLC (yellow) - The RLC (R = Reactance / L = Inductance / C = Capacitance) LED illuminates when the filtering system is properly working. The filtering system includes the capacitor and filter choke. If there is a short in either component then the RLC light will not come on. DN & UP (yellow) - The DN and UP LED lights tell us if the elevation DN and UP relays are functioning properly. When the LED lights, it tells us that the relay has energized and is sending high voltage (110vac or 220vac) to the elevation motor. AC PWR (green) - The AC PWR (Alternating Current Power) illuminates when AC line voltage is delivered to the treadmill. It then passes through the in-line fuse (110)/s(220) and lights the AC PWR LED. +12V (green) - When the proper AC voltage is delivered to the treadmill, passes through the in-line fuse/s, through the full wave bridge rectifier (changes AC to DC), through the transformer (steps down DC to +12vdc) then the +12V LED lights. This the board LED, who control the signal for Main Motor+Elevation Motor. You must see, the LED DN+ UP( both will be Lit) in any position down or Up. With this you will fix it. If you need further assistance, please reach me, sincerely.God bless you.
