My Skechers GOwalk Strapless Heart Rate Monitor (Basic; Model Number WR30M; Distributed by Sports Beat, Inc.) will not read the heart rate. I bought this digital watch new, and it worked in reading the heart rate for about the first week or so, if that. Since then, it won't read the HR at all. However, this digital watch runs and displays the time, and everything else seems to work properly. Any help or advice to get this watch working properly would be greatly appreciated.

Well it depends on how much you sweat. The sensors need to be wet to read correctly. You can buy something called Heart Rate Gel cost about $5 to $10Some people just lick the sensors on the watch strap and it works until they can start sweat enough..Hope this helps.

I have a Polar F11 Heart Rate Monitor. The watch won't pick up the heart rate from the sender (00 is displayed), but my heart rate shows on a Polar enabled Gym machine, e.g. xtrainer. I've changed the battery in the sender.

There is a step by step guide in my tips and tricks of things to try with your strap. If none of these work and you are getting a signal from another source then you need to get either a new strap, a new sender or both. If you send the T-31 wearlink into polar they can run a diagnostic and see which is bad and sell you just the piece you need or a whole new chest piece.

Watch won't read heart rate

It could be the battery on the strap is not good. However just to be sure make sure you are wetting the strap and it is around chest, front should sit right about on the bottom of pectoral or chest, if you are female make sure it is under your sports bra the bra band will be over it. I would start warming up then hit the start button it should work.

I have had my Timex Ironman HR monitor for 5 months. I am a triathlete so I know what zone my heart rate should be at running speeds. I had no problems for 4 months - but now the watch shows a hear rate between 40-60 bpm - but I know it shuld be 115-135. Also last month the watch stopped reading the heart rate from the strap for a day - but after a master reset it started working again. I have replaced the battery in the strap. I do not know what else to do. Can you help?

The heart rate is recorded at these abnormally low levels because the sensor has lost its sensibility. This can be caused by only 2 things: 1 - the battery for the watch is almost dried and its voltage has dropped so low that the sensor can't work no more. You will have to replace the battery. because your watch is a sealed type you should take it to a repair shop: they will know how to open it carefully enough as to not damage the rubber seals.; and if they can't open it without damage they will have replacement rings.2 - the sensor itself (which basically is just a microphone that listens to the beats) is clogged by dirt. Wash the watch in hot soapy water and look very carefully for cracks in the rubber of the strap - if you find one then the sensor has been permanently damaged by the sweat that seeped in. In that case it's time for a new one.
