Battery replacement I changed the battery on my Polar CE0357 and get a bunch of digital junk displayed all over the screen. Replaced with a DL2025 3v watch battery

Mine had a Panasonic CR2205 battery in it. I replaced it and Voila! There is a funky clip holding the battery in place. I used a tiny flat head screw driver and put it in the side where it looked like it fit and the clip popped off enabling me to free the battery.Happy aerobics!

I changed my wife's Polar F11 HRM watch battery. When I replaced the battery the entire screen lit up, everything. I let it sit for a few minutes and the normal screen came up. Kind of like it was "booting up". The only problem was that the screen is distorted and the watch is hard to read. Any ideas?

Try resetting. From the manual, "if there are no reactions to any buttons, reset the wrist unit by pressing all the buttons simultaneously for two seconds. All other settings but time and date are saved."Is it possible the watch block is not in correctly and the display is getting squished?

My heart rate monitor was working perfectly well and then the next day the screen on the watch was frozen. No indication of low battery etc (battery replaced 3 months ago). The monitor is about 18 months old. Help?

Hi dear_patrici, If the Polar heart rate monitor's screen is frozen and seems like there's no reaction from any of the buttons when pressed you need to reset the wrist unit. To reset, just press all the buttons at the same time for 3-4 seconds. Your settings will be saved except for the time and date. Hope it helps. Thank you for using Fixya.

I had a battery shop replace the battery and have reset the time, date, etc., but it is not picking up the pulse but returns to the time screen. I cannot get to the functions to set age, maximum pulse, etc. The instruction booklet is not helpful. It had always picked up my pulse without a problem until the battery was replaced.

This is what worked for me.Press & Hold MODE till it FLASHES (Seconds will flash first), thenPress ST/STP and it will jump to MINUTES, thenPress the LAP/RESET till desired Minutes. Once you do, Press ST/STP and it will jump to HOURS, then Press the LAP/RESET till desired HOUR (if you go past 12 it will then show p.m. and vice versa for a.m). Once the Hour is chosen, Press MODE. DONE!

Reebok heart rate monitor won't work after new battery.

I contacted SportBeat Inc. with the same problems you reported. I sent back the old watch with a $20 check to have them replace the "module". (This is what they told me over the phone to do.) They sent back a brand new watch in less than a week, and returned my check! (Maybe I was still under warranty?) Anyway, their phone number and address are on the back of the manual. They were very responsive to phone calls and emails. Good luck!Sport Beat Inc.45 Jefryn Blvd.Deer Park, NY 117291-888-760-3059

I have had my Timex Ironman HR monitor for 5 months. I am a triathlete so I know what zone my heart rate should be at running speeds. I had no problems for 4 months - but now the watch shows a hear rate between 40-60 bpm - but I know it shuld be 115-135. Also last month the watch stopped reading the heart rate from the strap for a day - but after a master reset it started working again. I have replaced the battery in the strap. I do not know what else to do. Can you help?

The heart rate is recorded at these abnormally low levels because the sensor has lost its sensibility. This can be caused by only 2 things: 1 - the battery for the watch is almost dried and its voltage has dropped so low that the sensor can't work no more. You will have to replace the battery. because your watch is a sealed type you should take it to a repair shop: they will know how to open it carefully enough as to not damage the rubber seals.; and if they can't open it without damage they will have replacement rings.2 - the sensor itself (which basically is just a microphone that listens to the beats) is clogged by dirt. Wash the watch in hot soapy water and look very carefully for cracks in the rubber of the strap - if you find one then the sensor has been permanently damaged by the sweat that seeped in. In that case it's time for a new one.

Setting Polar CE0537

You do not have the right model number. For some reason, Polar puts the CE0537 in big numbers on the back of the case. The real model number on my unit was in very light engraving right above the words "Polar Electro" on the back of the case. Looks like they have an engraving problem where both the model and serial number are very hard to read. If it helps, my model was S120 and I found the manual quickly on the polar site. The polar site also has the location of model numbers in their FAQ area.
