Reebok heart rate monitor won't work after new battery.

I contacted SportBeat Inc. with the same problems you reported. I sent back the old watch with a $20 check to have them replace the "module". (This is what they told me over the phone to do.) They sent back a brand new watch in less than a week, and returned my check! (Maybe I was still under warranty?) Anyway, their phone number and address are on the back of the manual. They were very responsive to phone calls and emails. Good luck!Sport Beat Inc.45 Jefryn Blvd.Deer Park, NY 117291-888-760-3059

Heart rate will not read via transmitter

Well it happend to me some month ago. the thing is there is no easy solution. when you stop using you monitor for a long period, the sweat does something to the strap and it stop working. so the way i resolved was nicely cleaning the belt and then dip it in water. After that i wet my chest and i would repeat the process as many times as necessary to make it work. But the problem go away completely only after my 9th o 10th session on the treadmill

My F11 Polar HR monitor is not working correctly

You should have someone who is use to servicing heart rate monitors take a look at it. There are parts in the monitor that can corrode and would need to be cleaned. Also, look into replacing the battery in both units (Strap and wrist) and make sure the unit is reset properly.

Polar FT60 heart Rate monitor worked fine for about 8 months. I attempted to use one day & found that I get the following message "Check Heart Rate Transmitter". I have seen this before when the transmitter strap was not making good contact. I adjusted the strap but still the same error. I have replaced both the watch battery & the transmitter battery. The watch seems to work properly, but it is difficult to tell if the transmitter is working. I measured a small voltage from the snaps on the back side of the transmitter when activated and have purchased a new transmitter strap. Any ideas?

This generally means that either the battery needs repalcing or as you say when the transmitter strap is not making good contact. You should clean the strap with some surgical spirit on a clean cloth, preferably lint free cotton, and tthen wipe down with a saline solution made from 1 tablespoon table salt dissolved in 1 pint of water, again using a lint free cloth.

I have had my Timex Ironman HR monitor for 5 months. I am a triathlete so I know what zone my heart rate should be at running speeds. I had no problems for 4 months - but now the watch shows a hear rate between 40-60 bpm - but I know it shuld be 115-135. Also last month the watch stopped reading the heart rate from the strap for a day - but after a master reset it started working again. I have replaced the battery in the strap. I do not know what else to do. Can you help?

The heart rate is recorded at these abnormally low levels because the sensor has lost its sensibility. This can be caused by only 2 things: 1 - the battery for the watch is almost dried and its voltage has dropped so low that the sensor can't work no more. You will have to replace the battery. because your watch is a sealed type you should take it to a repair shop: they will know how to open it carefully enough as to not damage the rubber seals.; and if they can't open it without damage they will have replacement rings.2 - the sensor itself (which basically is just a microphone that listens to the beats) is clogged by dirt. Wash the watch in hot soapy water and look very carefully for cracks in the rubber of the strap - if you find one then the sensor has been permanently damaged by the sweat that seeped in. In that case it's time for a new one.

Sportcraft Heart Rate Monitor - Transmitter Battery Replacement

I actually just figured it out. Using a small flat screw driver or knife wedge it under the body of the unit. This is from the top mid way across where the strap enters the body. You have to push it in pretty hard but you will see the body separate. Work it slowly and it pops in half very neat and clean. Replace the battery then use a little super glue around the cover edge and snap it back together.
