The incline setting on my Proform 550 Epic View is all the way up to 12% and will not go down. I can hear the motor working when I press another incline setting but it does not go down anymore. The monitor displays the incline at 0%. When I click on the incline down button a few times it shows 12% and the monitor goes down to like 9% and then resets to 0% and will not go down at all. The motor for the incline seems to be working as I hear it trying to work..but it does not go down. What is wrong?

The incline adjustment is done this way in your machine: a motor is attached to the platform with a hinge; at its shaft is attached a worm screw; on it there's a threaded bushing which is attached to a lever situated on an rotating shaft - when the motor turns the bushing is moved up the worm screw which pushes on the lever which rotates so it lifts the platform If you can hear the motor turning but nothing happens it means that this mechanism is faulty: 1 - the connection between the motor shaft and the screw has broken - fix it2 - the friction in the bushing and the joints is too much for the motor - clean and oil thoroughly the entire mechanism3 - the screw or the bushing are damaged - replace them.Unfortunately finding replacement part will be difficult -this is an older model that is no longer in production.

I have a New Balance 1400. How do you do a hard reset on it?

In almost all treadmill error 1 denotes the speed sensor error. In you case I suspect there is some variation in the alignment of the speed sensor. May it moved away from the magnet Which is fixed on the rotating wheel. Try to make it closer as much as it can, be sure not to keep a small distance .hope it will solve the problem. My T81 treadmill quit working. All of the lights and bells and whistles all work but the belt doesnt move and the incline doesnt move. Ive only had it for about 2 years. It was working fine before I moved it across a few states. When I unpacked it and turned it on the lights and fan and sounds all came on but the belt wont turn and the incline doesnt go up or down.

You need to check voltage going to the motors. no power ,the contoller board is not working. check the connections on the boardmake sure they are in all the way, also the power connections
