The belt has moved over to the right side of the treadmill.

I would like to know how to adjust the belt back to the center of the Pro-form 50 GTS. It is mainly rubbing at the top right corner of the treadmill. Thank you in advance for any advice on how to correct this problem. I also need a copy of the owners there a site to download this for free...I found several sites for $7.95. Thought there might be a site for free. Thanks, Larry

The belt has moved over to the right side of the treadmill.

Here are two solutions one is to get the belt centered on the treadmill and the other is to tighten the belt. There should be two bolts in the rear of the treadmill, one on each side. These bolts adjust the rear roller of the treadmill. The walking belt will always go to the side that is looser. To get the belt back on track, (if you can start the treadmill so the belt is running) tighten the bolt on the side that the belt has slipped to. Tighten the bolt a little bit at a time. If you tighten the bolt too much, then the belt will go to the other side.To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. As far as the manual, I have not been able to found anything yet.

Can I glue the torn edge of my treadmill belt?

I would question why it traveled to the right and cause you grief. Before anything else run the unit and see if its going travel to the right again if it does then check right end cap for breakage. To your first question no you cannot glue the belt they use a high temperature gluing process for the seams you'll have unfortunately replace the belt.

On my Sears ProForm 730 treadmill, I cannot make the belt move to the right (it is rubbing on the left side) by turning the left-side back belt screw clockwise (in any amount). The belt is walking back and forth but mainly staying left of center and rubbing on the left side. Does the belt need to be replaced

The belt does not need to be replaced more than likely. The problem is probably because that adjustment bolt is stripped out causing it loosen and keeping it over on that side. ProForm sells star washers that help them stay steady and not slip out. I would call them and ask for a couple of star washers and a new adjustment bolt for that left side.

Belt shifting/crooked and frayed on Proform 725 TL

In the back of the manual, it describes the adjustment for this. on the end of the platform (near where your belt is crooked) there is a hex nut. the manual says to turn the machine off before adjusting, i find it is much easier to do while the tread is still moving. turn it about a quarter or half turn one way or the other until the tread is aligned.
